"There's a feeling I get, when I look to the west, and my spirit is crying for leaving." This time, enjoy Southern California. I'm not talking about the lounges and the beautiful babies. I'm talking the deserts, the mountains, the oceans that you, as an inveterate New Yorker, were practically oblivious to when you last lived there. That's the LA advantage. A booze-negative empire for you to get lost in. The past is another country, but so is the future. LA's huge advantage is that it lets you start again. I was on my way when my ankle broke. So redefine yourself as what you feel you are now, not which you were then. Those hills are silent, and so close at hand. Check out the Paramount Ranch, where MASH was filmed. Nobody around for miles, except for a new Charles Manson.
