So easy to judge
So easy to blame
So easy to look away
So easy to push aside
Step over the chalk outline with your voyeur eyes and stay in stride.

musings and rantings on all that matters and all that doesn't

Letterman (or one of his writers, who never get any credit, goddamit) had a great line last time NY had a crime wave in the early 90s.
"Crime has gotten so bad in NY that police are asking tourists to bring their own chalk."
Sad that sidewalk chalk has to be associated with these kind of scary images. Aside from TV police dramas, I've never actually seen a chalk line I didn't have to hop over. 'Round here, a kid draws a chalk line around his friends body on the sidewalk and it's more like a game. I supposed that sort of thing oughta be discouraged?
