Just Wondering...
Doesn't Dagwood's mailman arrive awful early in the morning? Most mailmen don't come around until noon yet that guy is there bright and early and ready to get run over by Bumsted. Something tells me he wants to make a special delivery to Blondie.

I think that Dagwood's mail carrier must be after Dagwood (the M part of S&M?) because clearly, if he was after Blondie, he'd wise up and arrive after D leaves the house. In any event, he'd get kicked out of the civil service for working outside of regular work hours, so whatever it is, it will have to remain his secret.
The mail carrier arrives then for the same reason that Popeye's arms are backwards. Instead of tapering down to wrists, they become huge down by his hands. It makes me wonder how he built them up. Obviously Olyve Oyl is not satisfying his voracious seaman's sexual appetite. By the way, in terms of famous letter carrier quotes was Keith's reaction to (in 1989) Ice Cube's rapping "Ice Cube will swarm, on any motherfucker in a blue uniform." K's reaction was classic: "does that include the mailman?"
