Starbucks and Madonna II
They do have something in common. Once it was sort of cool to go there. Then both got big, started expanding their menu to please the masses and started spreading themselves to fit everyone. Now it/she has lost the cache.
Sad that many employees are losing jobs over this. Lourdes knows that nobody suffers when Madonna decides to lay...low. I suppose the 'saving grace' for Madonna is that she is still making money on her older stuff. Even as the popular opinion shifts like sand beneath her bunions, Madonna is so wealthy that it's unlikely to affect her financial situation. She can afford to venture off the beaten path in her 'personal' life, and artistically, at least from a financial standpoint. Besides that, she's always been risky. People expect Madonna's music and life to take twists and turns.
