Mad Men

Sure makes smoking look good. Of course, the advantage to setting a show in 1960 is you can have lots of smoking and drinking and you don't have to worry about appeasing the politically correct.

I can live vicariously can't I?

I wish Mad Men would put a little more effort into making their characters a little less creepy instead of sticking a cigarette in everyone's mouth (we get it, more people smoked back then--do we really need a pregnant woman smoking to hammer that point across yet again?). Frankly, I don't like any of these characters (even the mousey secretary is too mousey to feel sympathetic towards). I think the only thing keeping me watching are the tight skirts.

I know what you mean. I like the look and feel of the show better than the show itself. The clothes, the cars, the furniture, all looks great. I like Draper's boss, the guy who puked last week.
